Aging Services Council Cross Trainings
About Our Cross-Trainings
The Aging Services Council (ASC) and the Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of the Capital Area host a series of cross-trainings throughout the year to strengthen collaboration, increase awareness of local resources, and provide professional development for those serving older adults and individuals with disabilities across Central Texas.
These sessions bring together service providers, case managers, healthcare professionals, community health workers, nonprofit leaders, and public sector partners to explore a wide range of topics — from housing stability and transportation access to emergency preparedness, advocacy, and long-term care planning.
Frequency & Access
We typically hold 5 to 7 cross-trainings each year, either virtually via Microsoft Teams.
All trainings are free to attend for our network and open to professionals working in aging, disability, and community health spaces.
Recordings and presentation materials are made available to registered attendees following each event. Members have access to more in-depth resources only.
Why Attend? -Cross-trainings are a valuable opportunity to:
Learn about local and regional services
Understand referral pathways
Build cross-sector partnerships
Stay informed about emerging issues impacting older adults and caregivers
